Calls for help from five countries have reached the LOGOS headquarters. The consequences of the fight against the Corona virus mean that hundreds of thousands of people have no income overnight. Famine threatens particularly poor people. How we help:

  1. Purchase and distribution of food and hygiene items

  2. Distribution to around 1,200 people in India, Tanzania, Madagascar, Romania and Bulgaria

Romania

There is a lockdown in our children's home, mother-child center and homeless shelter. There is also a risk that government subsidies will be cut off due to lack of funds. The food supply must continue to be increased by stocks. Additional donations are required for this. Sponsored children in our care program will continue to be looked after.

Madagascar

Day laborers have no income. The Christians in our project pray and ask our project manager for food aid. The necessary money is currently missing. The island has so far reported 121 corona infections, with no deaths recorded. However, there are almost no tests, according to our project manager, and money is lacking. There are simply no gloves and disinfectants.

India

Pastor Nihar asks for food support for around 400 people in absolute need. The LOGOS team prays 24 hours a day for 3 weeks. First aid has already been distributed to 50 families. These are primarily LOGOS students, pastors and persecuted Christians. But especially those in need in the neighborhood are also considered. The needy should be provided for three months.

Another call for help came from the leprosy village, which LOGOS has been supporting for several years. The village was completely closed off. The government wanted to secure food supplies. But only rice has arrived there, and in far too little quantity. LOGOS now wants to provide the 121 families with additional food.

Tanzania

Our daycare center is closed, but the families of the children will and must continue to be provided with food and hygiene items. The Bible schools and Christians in the two LOGOS congregations also need support. A total of 252 families are to be supported with basic food over three weeks. This will require 2,380 euros. From April 18 to 20, 2020, Tanzania's president announced a national prayer weekend.

Help for the Roma children in our day care is needed in the form of one meal per day. The families of the Bible students and 20 poor families we care for will receive basic food and hygiene items. The streets are empty. But the hearts are full of care. With our help, we are now filling the hands of the needy.
